Dr. Lianne Pino

Dr. Lianne Pino is a Miami native.  She attended Epiphany School and Our Lady of Lourdes Academy.  She received a Bachelors of Science at the University of Houston and from there attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where she received Honors in Pediatrics.  Dr. Pino performed her externships at Tallahassee VA Outpatient Clinic and New Orleans Oschner Clinic in Louisiana.  She received her Florida Board Certification in 1999 and has since been practicing in Miami.

Dr. Nathan R. Etten

Dr. Nathan Etten earned his Doctorate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1997, after completing externships at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the Illinois Eye Institute. After 2 years of practice in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Etten relocated to Miami in October 1999. A native of Wausau, Wisconsin, Dr. Etten received his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 1993, and his Bachelor of Science in Visual Science from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1995.

Coral Reef Professional Center

Our office is located inside the Coral Reef Professional Center, in the heart of Palmetto Bay. We are just east of US1 on 152 Street (Coral Reef Drive).

Welcome Area

We provide patients with a comfortable welcome area and "Kid's Corner" where they can relax before being examined by the Doctor. New patients to the practice can conveniently download our medical/eye history form from the website and bring with them the day of the appointment.

Pre-Testing Room

The pre-testing room consists of state of the art instruments that give the Doctor eye health information. These procedures are administered by our qualified and highly trained staff prior to evaluation by the Optometrist.

Exam Room

Our examination rooms contain all the necessary instruments to determine visual needs and evaluate total eye health. Dr. Pino and Dr. Etten specialize in examining all ages, from infants to senior citizens.

We carry a variety of frames to fit our patients needs. We have a wide selection of Men, Women, and Children's glasses, as well as sunglasses. We supply frames for all face types and we keep up to date with the latest looks and trends in eyewear.

Contact Lens Room

At Exceptional Vision, we carry a variety of contact lenses: Bifocal, Overnight, Dry eye, Astigmatism, Color lenses, and many more. We specialize in difficult contact lens fits to assure that our patient receives the best lens performance possible. Our contact lens technicians provide full education and training to new contact lens wearers. We carry a variety of trial color lenses so that you can sample an array of looks. If your lenses are not in stock, we will be happy to order your contacts either by phone or by email requests.

RETINAL EXAM

The Optomap retinal exam is used to get a comprehensive view of the retina (back of the eye). This may detect possible abnormalities or signs of diseases, and can provide early diagnosis and treatment. Retinal imaging is an important tool for screening and diagnosis of eye conditions, such as retinal detachments and age related macular degeneration, and can also indicate evidence of non-eye diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension and certain cancers.
